Person-Centered Counseling and IFS

I offer Person-Centred counselling for adults and adolescents in English and Greek, in Athens and online. My work is also informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and a trauma-informed perspective.

About Me

I’m Agapitos, a Person-Centred counsellor with a trauma-informed approach and training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I have been working with individuals and groups since 2012, supporting adolescents and adults with emotional difficulties, ADHD, trauma and problematic patterns of internet use.

My professional background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Strathclyde, Level 1 IFS training through IFS UK, and training as an ADHD coach. I have also worked with the Adolescent Health Unit of the University of Athens, ADHD Hellas and organisations supporting vulnerable communities.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life.

My Approach

You may be looking for support because…

  • You feel overwhelmed, anxious or constantly “in your head”
  • You feel stuck or disconnected from yourself
  • You are struggling with self-criticism or inner conflict
  • You keep repeating difficult relationship patterns
  • ADHD-related challenges are affecting your everyday life
  • You are going through a difficult transition or emotional period

I integrate Person-Centred Counselling with an IFS-informed approach, creating a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and inner conflicts with curiosity, compassion and without judgement.

In Internal Family Systems (IFS), we understand the mind as made up of different “parts” — each with its own thoughts, emotions, and roles — alongside a core Self that is calm, curious, and grounded. Rather than trying to control or silence these parts, we learn to understand them, relate to them, and bring them into a more balanced and harmonious relationship.

The Person-Centered foundation of my work ensures a non-judgmental, empathetic environment where you can speak freely and be met with respect and genuine understanding. You are not seen as something to be “fixed”, but as someone with the capacity to grow, heal, and find your own way forward.

My work is collaborative and adapted to each person’s needs. I support adolescents and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, and patterns related to internet use, as well as those navigating inner conflict, emotional overwhelm, or periods of transition.

The aim is to be more connected to yourself, develop self-compassion, and move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and ease.
